Providing OSHA Electrical Transmission and Distribution (ET&D) 10 & 20 Hour Construction Outreach training to employees involved with the construction and maintenance of power transmission and distribution systems.
ET&D 10-Hour Construction Outreach Training – 2 Full Days
Persons attending this course receive a minimum of 10 hours of awareness training in the following topics:

Electrical Safety 2.0 Hours

Grounding & Bonding Practices 2.5 Hours

Personal Protective Equipment 1.0 Hour

Job Briefings 0.5 Hours

Confined and Enclosed Spaces 1.0 Hour

Lifting and Rigging 1.0 Hour

Excavations 1.0 Hour
-
Fall Protection for the Electrical Industry 1.5 Hours

Note: The Focus 4 Topics - Electrocution, Falls, Struck-By and Caught-in or between - are discussed within the above listed subjects.
ET&D 20-Hour Supervisory Leadership Skills Outreach Training – 4 Full Days
Persons attending this course receive a minimum of 20 hours of training in the following topics:
Required Elements (6 Hours)

Identifying Unsafe Behavior and Providing Constructive Criticism 2.0 Hours

Accountability for Safety and Health 1.0 Hour

Reducing Accidents & Accident Costs 2.0 Hours

Both 10 and 20-hour courses are taught by OSHA-authorized instructors. No prerequisites are required to attend training. Students completing the OSHA ET&D Outreach Training receive a traditional OSHA Construction Outreach card with a designation indicating the student completed the ET&D Construction Outreach training course.
