Congratulations are in Order!

Congratulations to Shawn McHale on his recent promotion to Associate Director of Safety & Health Services.

Shawn provides project management for our core safety initiatives, including construction and demolition, hazardous energy control, confined spaces, asbestos management, and interim safety support. He manages personnel, schedules, and budgets; assisting and supporting senior leadership by modeling Hygieneering’s vision and values.

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Safety with a minor in Public Health from Illinois State University, Shawn gained hands-on experience through an internship with Hygieneering in 2018. Later that year, he began his career as an Environmental Health and Safety Consultant, steadily building his expertise until being promoted to Safety & Health Services Manager in May 2024.

In his free time, Shawn enjoys spending time with his (NEW!) wife Jenna and their golden doodle Willow, staying active through workouts, golf, and 16-inch softball, relaxing with a beer at their Michigan lake house, and supporting the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame.
