UPDATED: OSHA's Final Rule to Protect Workers from Exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica

Hygieneering provides worker silica air sampling to support the new OSHA Silica Standard. Contact us for more information or to schedule testing at your facility.

NOTES:

  • The final rule reduces the permissible exposure limit for crystalline silica to 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air, averaged over an eight-hour shift.

  • The new OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) only applies to respirable silica samples and total silica samples no longer have an applicable PEL.
